Beyoncé Is Creating A Scholarship For Female College Students

To celebrate the momentous occasion, Queen Bey herself has set up a scholarship for college students called Formation Scholars.

To celebrate the momentous occasion, Queen Bey herself has set up a scholarship for college students called Formation Scholars.

The scholarship will be made eligible to women at four colleges: Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College, per an announcement on Knowles' official website.

The award is geared toward female students “who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”

One scholarship will be afforded to a lucky student from each of the participating schools during the 2017-2018 academic year. Other eligibility requirements include that the recipient be an incoming student who is “pursuing studies in creative arts, music, literature, or African-American studies.”
